Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration begins February 4th, 2010 (1 PM - 7 PM). Children who are 5 years old by August 31, 2010 are eligible for kindergarten in the 2010-2011 school year. Please pass this information on to friends and neighbors who have kindergarten-age children. Parents need to bring immunization records, proof of residence, birth certificate or passport, and for those applying for all-day kindergarten, a checkbook. The deposit for all-day Kindergarten is required at registration in order to be eligible for the Kindergarten Lottery on February 10, 2010. Information packets will be available for pick up starting January 4, 2010.

Volunteers needed

We need parent volunteers to help Audubon's new parents fill out paperwork and answer general questions to support our office staff.  It’s an easy job and we train you. The shifts are 12:45 – 3pm, 3pm – 5pm and 5pm to 7pm. We need two parents for each shift. Please email Kym Lukosky to sign up at:  v-kyml@microsoft.com

Kindergarten tours

Kindergarten tours are January 26th and January 28th from 9 AM-10 AM in the Audubon office conference room. This tour is for parents only. Look for a tour sign-up sheet in the main office.

Owl Outreach is a PTSA supported program designed to welcome new families to Audubon Elementary.

This program is available to all newcomers! Services provided by Owl Outreach include:

* Detailed information geared toward those who come to Audubon to begin Kindergarten
or move to our area from other schools. Many of our community members are new to
our country, which makes for the culturally rich environment that Audubon is known
   for.
* Personal support for those who need help finding their way through the public school
system – or finding your way through the building! Outreach Advisors are available for
each grade level and can answer any questions you have about Audubon.
* Meet & Play dates during the summer months where kids and parents can meet

new friends and catch up with old ones.

If you are new to Audubon, let us know! Send an email to
Roy Captain at roycaptain@comcast.net. Tell us who you are, the grade level of your children, and where you’ve come from. We’ll make sure information regarding Owl Outreach reaches you. Feel free to include any questions you have. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible!
