Book Fair!
Help promote reading in our school by supporting Audubon’s annual Book Fair. This year the Book Fair is in the gym. Our goal is $10,000 in sales. The proceeds go to purchase books for our library and classrooms. Bring your children and enjoy watching them browse the shelves and purchase books of their own. With special evening hours, teacher wish lists, books, books, books, and so much more, this is an event not to be missed!! Go to our book fair web site (http://bookfairs.scholastic.com/homepage/AudubonLWSD) to view fair hours and a sampling of the books that will be available. If you’d like to volunteer, you can sign up online or in the library, or email Sarah Davis at Sarah@forHealthnHome.com. See you there!
You can also purchase a gift certificate to donate directly to your student's classroom, or a book from wish lists that the teachers made.
Kids drawing for their favorite poster - All week long the kids will have opportunities to earn tickets. As the kids earn their tickets at the fair they can write their name and room number on the back and drop it into the bag under the poster they want to win. We will hold the drawing on Wednesday for each of the posters displayed in the book fair. Here are the ways that kids can earn tickets: Complete a Book Fair scavenger hunt and turning it at in the register

November 30 Helping Hands begins (this event goes through December 4th)
Helping hands is a wonderful way to celebrate this season of giving in a very personal way. It is an all-volunteer program that links anonymous donors (you) to families right here in our school district. Select a mitten from the display case and make a difference in the life of a child from our community. If you have any questions about the Helping Hands program or would like to volunteer, please contact Susan Proebsting (425-861-8166; susan.proebsting@gmail.com) or Stephanie Weeks (425-376-2657; weeksfamily4@msn.com).
